Intermediate Performing Company
The Intermediate Performing Company or IPC is a incredible team for dancers who love to dance and want to take it to the next level and start competing. This team was created and is directed by Tricia Casamassima-Wood an award winning choreographer, director and coach at Power House of Dance for over a decade.
The IPC team is divided into different age groups; Mini’s- 4-6 years, Petites 6-9yrs and juniors 9yrs and up. The IPC team also competes in the Intermediate category at competitions. The dancers who aspire to be on this award winning team audition in the spring and/or summer when Power House holds their team auditions.
Once your dancer has made the team this is what you can expect. Your dancer will have a mandatory team class during the week in which she will learn her dances she will compete with in the spring. She will also have to take up to 7 hours of technique classes during each week such as ballet, tap, jazz , hip hop or acrobatics. The Director will help put together a schedule with you that will work best for your family.
The confidence, growth in dance ability and overall improvement a parent sees in their dancer in just one year is astounding. The IPC team has groomed hundreds of dancers that have won numerous dance scholarships and awards. Many have gone on to our Pre Professional Company or high school drill teams. Tricia is a confident director with compassion and love for children. She is well known for her technical coaching, sincere personality and positive teaching style.
