Erin Vonderhaar

Erin was born and raised in Seattle, Washington where most of her training took place. At age 5 Erin began her training in Gymnastics. She excelled quickly and soon became a part of the gymnastics team at AGDE. It was when she reached level 6 that it became too much to do both gymnastics and dance and had to choose which one she wanted to pursue. She chose her true passion; dance.

She trained at Camille’s Dance Edge in Seattle for nine years. Her first year on Company, their routine made it to the Battle of the Stars at Starpower Nationals and were awarded the National Champions. Throughout her competitive years Erin has won numerous awards for dance. These awards include; Dancer of the Year finalist with Rainbow Dance Competition, Broadway Dance Center scholarship, Miss IDC, Miss Starpower, Miss Spotlight, Co. Dance Finalist, and Global Dancer. At the age of 18 Erin was awarded Miss National Starpower 2009, and placed first overall with a self-choreographed solo.

After graduating High School Erin taught and choreographed for Camille’s Dance Edge for two years. She then moved to Dallas, Texas and was accepted Southern Methodist University’s well-known dance program to continue her professional training.

Erin is trained in many areas of dance including: lyrical, jazz, hip hop, acro, modern, and ballet. Erin was recently featured on “Good Morning Texas” for a piece performed in the SMU “Brown Bag Showcase”. Erin’s wide varieties of choreography for groups and soloists have won numerous awards and acknowledgments throughout her years of teaching.
