Jamie Harmon

Jamie started taking Ballet, Jazz, and Tap classes at Cynde Lomonte’s Dance Dimensions in Missouri City, Texas, when she was five. As her love of dance grew, she added in other forms of dance such as Lyrical, Modern, Pointe, Hip Hop, and Acrobatics. Jamie was selected as a member of the Performing and Competing Company at Cynde Lomonte’s Dance Dimensions when she was nine and won many solo and group awards while she was a member of the Company. 
While attending Clements High School in Sugar Land, Texas, Jamie was a member of the Clements Stars Dance Team. During her Senior year, she served as her dance team’s Colonel, or highest-ranking officer. Under that title she was in charge of rehearsing the team, assisting her director with choreography, and teaching the team their routines for football games, contest season, and their annual Spring Show. 
She graduated from Texas A&M University in the Spring of 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a Minor in Dance.

While in college, Jamie worked for CrowdPleasers Dance Company as a Senior Staff Member. As a staff member for CrowdPleasers, she was responsible for choreographing and teaching both field and contest routines to middle and high school dance/drill teams. At A&M Jamie was also a member of The TAMU Dance Ensemble, the Modern Company for Dance Minors. 
Jamie is also certified to teach 4th-8th grade Core Subjects as well as 8th-12th grade Dance. When she’s not at Powerhouse, you can find her teaching 7th grade English in Allen ISD. Jamie thoroughly enjoys working with children and loves working at Dallas Powerhouse of Dance!
