Malia McNeny

Malia’s training began at Tuzer Ballet, Richardson when she was five where she spent many years in their Company. Malia performed as a lead dancer in original pieces choreographed by Tanju Tuzer including Carmina Burana, Inter/ruption, Tuzerita and Obstacle. She danced for more than twelve years in their annual presentation of The Nutcracker from Party Girl to Spanish to Marie. She recently returned as a guest dancer in their 30th Annual Presentation of the Christmas classic.

When Malia graduated from homeschool at the age of 16, she attended Collin College and joined the Collin Dance Ensemble where she discovered many other styles of dance. From there she went on to perform with The Dallas Dance Company. Other dance experiences in Texas include Dance Fusion, Cabaret and the American College Dance Festival in College Station.

Malia graduated from Performing Arts school, Tiffany Theatre College in London, England. She studied Ballet and Lyrical Jazz with Dilly Greasley, resident choreographer for the award winning, best selling, West End Show, Billy Elliot, along with Contemporary and Musical Theatre under Matt Flint, recent winner of Britain’s Got Talent. Malia’s dance experience in London includes opening for the F.A. Cup at Wembley Stadium and Move It at Olympia in Earl’s Court.

She recently returned to Texas after dancing professionally on a cruise ship, Ibero’s Grand Mistral, under Carnival Cruises. As well as performing every night she was able to travel through northern Europe and explore the islands of the Mediterranean. Her dancing took her to places of the world she never thought she would get to experience, including Morocco, Russia, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, and Amsterdam, to name a few.

Malia would like to thank her parents and family who have loved and supported her in the pursuit of her career and God for the incredible talents and opportunities He has given her.
